Hi,

Say i have 2 fields...

1.Country Name and 2.State Name

When i click on the country field i only want
to see that particular states of the country
in the state field. If i change the country the
changes in the states should also appear

How to do it in the d2k 6.0 ver.

Thanks.

Okay ... two fields ... :blk.country and :blk.state.

Create an LOV on the 'country' ... should be straight forward.

Create an LOV on the 'state'. Put the ':blk.country' in the 'select' statement of the LOV or the record group on which the LOV is based.

Is that enough information for you to work it out?

If you want to get a bit more sophisticated you can populate both the Country and State from the one LOV. Read the books, think about it, and get back to this forum if you have problems.

Ok thanks.

I was trying it in the when-list-change trigger and
to solve the problem but I think the 2nd solution
is better to get the result.
