Can SYS owned functions be called from within Forms? is it in the same was as other oracle functions
package.procedure?

Yes ... but the user must have been granted access to them.

What do you mean by user - each user of the application that will be able to call the screen calling the SYS function?

hi,
Any user who will use the SYS owned functions needs a permission granted to him to have an access to that function.

so if called via an underlying trigger for a form - each individual user of the application must be granted access to that particular function?
