assume that i have these list of documents files :
sc-hs-00024-a.doc , sc-hs-00024-b.doc , sc-hs-00024-c.doc , sc-hs-00025-aa.doc
and i want to search all "my computer" (i.e. all drives and map drives) for certain files names that have the code (sc-hs-00024)as a part from the "physical name" , tell me how display the list of paths i should find

Can you write for me the command you would issue at the command line to do this tree search? If you can then you can probably do it through a 'host' command'. You will have to determine the list of drives first, but again, I don't know the DOS command you would have issue to show the list of drives.

ok tell me how to upload document files (.doc) or pdf's to the database as objects then how to retrieve them again to concatenate them in one document and add header and footer to the resulting file?

To work with PDF files you will need a PDF editor, for word files you need to use MS-Word. Search this forum for 'Word' and you will see how other people have opened files. I expext that you will have to use 'ora_ffi' to 'drive' MS-Word so that you can open the file, then go to the end of it and insert the next MS-Word file.
